Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” – Martin Luther King

Here are 3 causes we are committed to donating to on January 17th, Martin Luther King day.

Black Girls Code

As a company who values diversity in the workplace, this one is a no-brainer. Black Girls Code is aiming to close the opportunity gap for Black women and girls. By introducing Black girls to skills in the tech sector with programs built around honing skills in areas such as robotics, mobile app design, game design, AI, web design and more. Black Girls Code is helping to build the ground work for Black girls and women to become creators and builders in the Tech industry.

Communities United Against Policy Brutality

There’s no denying that police brutality has been and continues to be a serious problem in the United States. Communities Against Policy Brutality takes on police brutality in a few ways; advocacy, political action, and education.

CUAPB provides assistance to those impacted by acts of police brutality with a 24-hour crisis line (612-874-STOP) that can be used to report abuse with crisis responders who will investigate, take photos & statements, and offer assistance. They also aim to help by providing legal, medical, and psychological referrals as well as influencing media outlets to bring awareness and make sure victims stories are told.

They organize rally’s and protests with hopes to bring about change in laws, policies, practices, and demand justice in certain cases.

CUAPB provides educational resources via the Know Your Rights training which aims to give community members the tools they need to safely interact with law enforcement officers.
